Podium falls over

Injury to user

Apply sufficient weight to the podium base (200kg) or pull out legs for extra stability

Assess the weight of the user and if felt to be excessive relative to the weighted down podium deny access. Over 15 stone person, use not recommended.

Advise on type of usage allowed (e.g. Less acrobatic moves than on a fixed pole).

Podium falls over

Injury to user & audience

Do not allow persons to run up and jump spin around the pole to avoid toppling

Damage to surrounding equipment

Try to site the podium at least one pole length away from other equipment or fixtures.

Hirer and venue must place aides sited near equipment at risk in areas with limited with space

Podium collapses

Check equipment before use for structural damage. Qualified member of Pole Twisters to check.

Fall from podium when being used

Injury to user

Vet user for suitability before use (e.g. poles are not recommended for use under the influence of alcohol or drugs etc).

Users should only perform moves within the limits of their own abilities.

New users should start with simple moves before progressing to more advanced routines (as per the “Restrictions of Use").

Professional instruction is recommended

Do not store combustible matter beneath podium, especially when valance is in place.

The Hirer has been given full information on what to do in the event that any of the above happens on the date of the booking. The Hirer has been made aware of how and who to report any problems with regards to the pole hire upon delivery
